Richmond Land Trusts Offers Scholarship

The Richmond Land Trust has created a scholarship for Richmond residents pursuing education in the following fields: Land Conservation and Preservation, Environmental Science/Studies, Forestry, Soil Science, Biology with the focus on the environment, Agriculture, and other fields related to the RLT’s mission.
The application and a letter of recommendation must be submitted by November 15, 2026. The scholarship amount is $1,000 or more. Awards will be given after the first college transcript has been shared. Applications will be reviewed and awarded by December 15, 2026.
The Richmond Land Trust is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by a group of residents concerned about protecting open land from development. These citizens had the vision to preserve Richmond’s natural beauty, encouraging open fields and forests to be put into conservation to protect both wildlife and the natural environment for generations to come.
The Richmond Land Trust encourages our community to think ahead to the future while valuing what Richmond has to offer in its open land, mountains, and forests. We work with our landowners and farmers, along with the Berkshire Natural Resources Council to find best practices for farmland, open space and wooded lands.
